First Date TipsYou must have heard the saying, ‘First impressions count’.  When it comes to dating, never a truer word was spoken!  You might want to bare a few of the following in mind, next time you are going out on that all important, first date!  Here’s a few, ‘first date tips for men’, that should help you make the right impression.

Clean Up!

You’d think it was obvious, but it’s not unheard of to omit it!  If you really want her to be impressed then you’d better get those ears washed!  Turning up clean shaven and smelling good will definitely get things off to a good start.  If you turn up looking like you’ve just dug the garden, she may might not think about how obviously practical you are.  She’ll more likely be putting you on her charity Christmas list, as the guy who needs soap on a rope!

Don’t be late

There is absolutely nothing worse than turning up late on a first date.  That’s a woman’s prerogative!  She might think you’re not coming, and that’s not a good foot to get off on.  In the same breath, too early isn’t good either, especially if you are picking her up from home.  Women don’t like being caught out, especially on a first date.  Five minutes either way is perfect!

Conversation

Of course you want her to know something about you, after all, that’s why you asked her on a date.  But don’t just ramble on all night!  One of the most important first date tips for men has to be this one.  Ask questions about her, and make sure you listen to the answers.  On the same note, you don’t want to be sitting over your dinner in silence, desperately searching for a conversation.  Think of a few things beforehand, just to get things going.  Avoid talking about your ex and encourage her input.
