This is a fantasy that I think every guy has had at some point or another in his life:  To be a Sheik and have a harem of several wives.  Most men know that they’re not heir to anyone in that line and settle for fantasies of just having two women. These fantasies are OK, but when it all boils away that is all they are - fantasies.  But in society today some have made their fantasies come true.
 
I refer of course to partnerships known as polyamorous marriage.  In recent years the Supreme Court has dictated that marriage can only be defined as one man and one woman.  For reasons I will not go into here, I do not believe this is a fair ruling.  This ruling makes polyamourous relationships illegal.  I have friends that are poly and I do not believe they are doing anything wrong.  They don’t need to live in fear of being prosecuted. They simply have made a lifestyle choice that works for them.  A good friend of mine lives that way with her husband and they are totally happy and could not imagine it any different. 

In my own life, after many years of failing relationships, I finally did meet someone. To her I am number one and she is number one to me.  Neither of us wants to add to that number.  This combination is just fine for us.
 
Which is better: Poly or Mono?  For me it is Monogamy, but the actual answer varies from person to person.
