Loneliness
Loneliness is one of the worst emotional painful feelings that many people experience in their day to day life. Everybody has suffered from loneliness at least once in their lives, sometimes you feel that you are not able to connect to other people whether it’s your family relations or your friends. You have every right to be loved, don’t practice a demoralizing spirit to curb your emotions. You need to know how to welcome people in your life and how to be accepted in the society. The only cause of feeling lonely is the emptiness which you have developed in your heart and mind. Don’t get depressed, we can cope up with loneliness by transforming our way of living, by changing our attitude towards life.
Self help
The most valuable thing which you can gift yourself is by helping yourself in analyzing your behavior. Talk to yourself that why you feel lonely; write down all the factors which drive you towards isolation. Plan out some ways which can be helpful in eliminating certain uncomfortable emotions you feel.
Discover your spiritual side
Indeed, loneliness is a very tough part of life, you feel completely disconnected to the society. Have you ever connected with your spiritual side? In our busy and stressful life we sometimes feel that nobody is bothered about our emotions but they feel connected to god. After all in the end the only everlasting relationship is the relation with god isn’t it?
Loss of a loved one
Needless to say, the loss of a loved one makes any person feel miserable and lost. It feels as if a part of you has completely left you in distress. Indeed it will take a long time for a person to heal the wound; this deep loss can not be healed by consoling the person. It can only be healed with time, for some people it becomes so distressful that they just isolate themselves in their own world. Don’t deject yourself from the outside world, its natural to mourn for the loss of your loved ones; your depression will make you feel miserable. You need to muster up strength to come out of the darkness by embracing the cherished moments which you spent with your lost loved one.
Take up some interesting hobby
You can always find something which interests you, once you start participating in the activities you enjoy, you will feel great. You can easily find someone who shares your interests, once you start interacting with someone your loneliness will go away. Don’t worry if you don’t have anyone to share your hobby with, you can always look for those clubs where your interest’s activity is organized. Let’s just come out of the loneliness that is killing you from within.
Don’t indulge in any discouraging activity
Many people who feel lonely or sad tend to watch sad movies or sad songs which in turn reinforce their depressed state of mind. Do you always want to be trapped in a wretched condition; don’t you want to experience the joy of life? You need to make an attempt to lighten up your feelings by changing your lifestyle. Start watching inspirational movies, read inspiring biographies, self help books, listen to soothing music which will enlighten your mood. The idea behind this is to eliminate all the negative thoughts which will never allow you to heal your wistful state.
Eradicate all the harmful addictions and thoughts
Some people start indulging in harmful addictions, which slowly destroys them mentally and physically. Just remember one thing addiction to drugs or alcohol is a temporary relief system, try to seek a more meaningful way to have fun. Seek professional help if you think that you are addicted to any of the deadly addiction and if not treated on time they will eventually result in serious medical problems. Many people have committed suicide because they didn’t get emotional support at the right time. If you ever experience any negative thought then instead of ending your life make an effort to start a brand new life in a more rewarding way.
Always be willing to help others
Sometimes we tend to forget that there are many needy people around us who needs help, it just require a little effort to approach those people who are emotionally and physically challenged. If you are constantly thinking about your sorrows then you won’t be able to bring a positive change in your life. Once you start looking at those people who are in a more tormented condition than you then you will start feeling that you are fortunate. You can do volunteer work in your free time, you can provide emotional support to any needy person by just listening to their story. The way Beatles song goes” all you need is love” it’s so true!
Get a pet

Many people have transformed their lives in the presence of lovely pets; it’s a known proven fact that pets are the best companion one can ever get. Their unconditional affection makes us feel loved; you feel wanted when they play with you or when they are waiting for you on the door steps. If you can’t find sufficient time to invest in taking care of a pet then you can engage yourself in activities like providing food to street dogs once in a while. You will feel immense happiness by giving some attention to the stranded pets.
Write an online blog
These days there are innumerable blogs where you can share your opinions about any possible thing. This way you can relieve your feelings by allowing yourself to express your hidden emotions. You will easily find your interest group where you can communicate with some section of people; this will help you in boosting your morale to open up. Once you are able win over your apprehensions then you can start interacting to the outer world. If you have interest in reading then you can join a library and mingle with some people who share your interests. It’s so much fun to experiment with different stuff and make new friends.
Satisfy your intellectual hunger
You can study different subjects which will help you to grow intellectually. For instance learn a new language, try to write poems, write a story, write songs, and learn something which you never experienced in your life before. One of the main reasons of loneliness is an empty mind, those people who don’t have any productive thing to do tend to end up in loneliness. Develop a creative nature and keep on exploring new things in life.
Maintain a daily diary
Whenever you are feeling alone, you should write down your thoughts and ponder about it. If you are going through a bad phase in life you can actually write about it, you can also write your weaknesses and strengths in order to fight against the odds in your life. On a personal front for me it has worked very well as a self therapy, it always helps me in exploring my inner side. This way you will be honest to yourself and can actually enhance your personality by promising yourself that you will bring a positive change in your life.
Get some exercise
If your body is stressed out and you need to release that stress, go for an exercise. Regular exercise routine will give you extra energy, instead of just sitting back at home in a room and cursing yourself for all the wrong things which has happened to you, its better to participate in different fun to do activities. It’s a proven fact that good physical exercise helps you ease your depressed feelings.
Fighting loneliness requires soul searching of various events which are happening in your lives so that you can find a way to come out of your isolation.
